SIMBA KATSANDE
Simba gave his life to Christ during primary school through the Scripture Union ministry. He steadily grew in his knowledge and love for the gospel. Simba joined the then Covenanters in 1989 working with the Boy Covies to entrench the Word of God in them. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Elders. God has blessed Simba with his wife Tendayi. They have two children, Namatai and Nina. Simba is an avid sports fan of English football, rugby, and cricket.
John bell
John was born in Zimbabwe and was saved at the age of 14. After serving as a policeman he went to study the Bible and Theology in the United States where he met his wife Miriam and returned to Zimbabwe in 1984. John pastored in Bindura for over 12 years and then Central Baptist Church in Harare for 20 years before he joined the pastoral team at Covenanters in 2018. John and Miriam have been blessed with 4 biological children, 2 foster children, and 4 grandchildren. He loves teaching and preaching, as well as gardening and playing squash.
thomas hodzi
Thomas came to faith as a result of a friend sharing the gospel with him in high school. Soon after, he left for the United States where he studied Biblical Counseling at The Masters University and Theology at the Masters Seminary. It was during this time that he met and married his beautiful wife Dany. They both returned to Zimbabwe in 2011. Thomas and Dany have been blessed with 4 beautiful children. Thomas has been serving on the pastoral team since 2017. He has a passion for teaching, discipleship and farming.
joseph magwaku
Joseph Magwaku joined the then Covenanters at a young age and became a lay Elder in 2002. After working for a number of years in industry Joseph went to Harare Theological College and studied for a Bachelor in Theology degree. He went into full time ministry in 2016. He currently serves on the pastoral team. Joseph is married to Lorraine and they have been blessed with 3 children Chiedza, Nathan and David. He enjoys teaching God’s Word and fishing.
